Anne Vibeke Lauridsen
Danish painter Anne Vibeke Lauridsen is inspired by the friezes, frescoes, poetry and philosophy of Antiquity. Her paintings combine ancient and contemporary elements with intense tones enriched with gold leaf, soft pictorial touches with symbols, architecture and fragments of Latin text from Ovid, Pliny, and Vergil. Her work has been exhibited in Europe and the United States.
